Summer Dips

Starters and Tidbits A- A+

Preparation Time: MEDIUM
Cost: MEDIUM
Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS:
Dip 1

  • 100g Cream cheese
  • 50g Porcini or Portobello mushrooms
  • 50g Bacon
  • 25ml Gallo Reserve Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • To taste * Chives

Dip 2

  • 125g Greek yogurt
  • 20g Dried tomatoes kept in Gallo Classic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 10g Gallo olives stuffed with peppers

Dip 3

  • 100ml Mayonnaise made with Gallo Classic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 10g Basil

PREPARATION:
For the first dip, cut the bacon into thin strips and the mushrooms into small pieces. Sauté the bacon and mushrooms in a non-stick skillet. Let cool. Fold in the mixture with the other ingredients, adjusting the seasonings.
For any of the other dips fold into the base the other ingredients, adjusting the seasonings.

CHEF'S TIP:
It can be used as a paste for canapés, or as a sauce for pasta salads.

The Gallo products that the Chef suggests for this recipe can be substituted by other Gallo varities of your preference. Experiment and share your incredible combinations!
