“Easy” Brazilian Style Feijoada Bean Stew

Serves: 8


  • 4 Fresh sausages
  • 400g Pork (flank or ribs)
  • 100g Smoked pig’s ear
  • 2 Linguiça spicy sausage
  • 1/2 Paio Sausage
  • 100g Bacon
  • 800g Black beans (cooked)
  • 400g Kale, cut into thin slivers
  • Cassava flour to taste
  • Orange segments to taste
  • Gallo Piri Piri Sauce to taste
  • Gallo Extra Virgin Olive Oil to taste

Cut all of the meats into small pieces.
Braise some chopped garlic in Gallo Extra Virgin Olive Oil and add the bacon pieces.
Add the remaining meats and then the beans. Season with Gallo Piri Piri Sauce and salt.
Cook over a low heat.

Meanwhile, prepare the side dishes:
Braise the kale in olive oil and chopped garlic.
Fry the cassava flour in olive oil, until golden.

Serve with the orange segments and white rice.
For a more traditional take on this feijoada bean stew, use dried meats and dried beans.
