Serves: 10

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 tbsp Milk (warm)
  • 100g Sugar
  • 200g Butter
  • 50ml Gallo First Crop 2017-2018
  • 5 Eggs
  • 500g Wheat flour
  • 15g Baker's yeast (baking powder)
  • 150g Fruits and Nuts (raisins/crushed walnuts)
  • Lemon and Orange zest to taste

For the Chocolate Coating:

  • 200g Dark Chocolate 70% Cocoa
  • 50ml Gallo First Crop 2017-2018
  • 1dl Milk

PREPARATION:
Mixture 1:
Dissolve the baking powder in the warm milk and set for 15 minutes.

Mixture 2:
Beat the sugar, eggs, butter and Gallo First Crop 2017-2018. Add the orange and lemon zest. Add the fruits and nuts.

Mixture 3:
Place the flour in a bowl, add the mixture 1, fold, add the mixture 2 and beat well. Place in a warm place for the yeast to rise.
Place baking paper at the base of a round baking tin, adding height to the sides.
Brush Gallo First Crop 2017-2018, add the dough.
Bake for about an hour and a half at 160º (until there is no wet batter on a toothpick).

For the chocolate coating:
Melt all the ingredients in a water bath, mixing them thoroughly.
Remove the Panettone from the tin and coat using the chocolate coating.

CHEF'S TIP:
The fruits and nuts can be marinated in any alcoholic beverage, for taste.
